Reading Support
My services range from supporting students who benefit from weekly individualized reading instruction to providing intensive support for those who require multiple sessions per week.
During the first session, I assess each student, set individualized goals, and monitor progress over time—celebrating with students as their goals are achieved.
I use a multisensory, hands-on approach to teach reading and spelling, using research-based programs such as Fundations and the Wilson Reading System. I am certified in Level 1 of the Wilson Reading System.
Fundations uses a hands-on, multisensory approach to teaching reading, spelling, and handwriting, making learning fun and engaging for children. It builds a strong foundation for lifelong reading success through a structured method that aligns with how children learn best.
The Wilson Reading System (WRS) is a specialized program designed to support students who have difficulty learning to read and spell, including those with dyslexia or other language-based learning challenges. It uses a multisensory, step-by-step approach that helps students understand how English works by teaching them sounds, patterns, and spelling rules in a clear and structured way. WRS is especially helpful for students in grades 2 and up, as well as teens and adults, who need more focused, intensive support to build strong reading skills.
